After two incredible years of celebrating creativity and talent through the Royal Bafokeng Institute Arts Festival, RBI will take leave of the festival for the year ahead.
Hosting this event has been an enriching experience, but we’ve learned that such an undertaking requires significant resources and infrastructure, which are currently limited.
RBI remains deeply committed to supporting learners in their education journeys. This includes enhancing the Arts Curriculum already offered in schools. Our focus will now shift to developing the infrastructure needed to ensure the future success of the RBI Arts Festival and other similar initiatives. For this reason, the art spaces will now be occupied by external acts in collaboration with RBI.
We believe this investment will pave the way for a more impactful and sustainable celebration of the arts in the years to come.
We wish our participating learners all the best in their continued journey of creativity and growth.
Thank you to everyone (learners, schools, mentors, parents, and supporters) who has supported the festival and celebrated the talent of our learners. We look forward to bringing it back stronger and better equipped in the future.
